Formats --- Main Event:

The main event will see 16 invited players seeded into the last-32.

There will be 16 groups of five played in a round robin format.

Two players from each group will go into the knockout stages….(joining the 16 invites)

Only players that pay the £100 entry fee will get free entry into the £1,000 plate event.

All open qualifiers will be played in a straight knockout format…..

Prize - Money --- Main-Event:

Winner:  £3,000

Runner-Up: £1,500

Semi-Finals: £1500 (2 x £750)

¼-Finals: £1,000  (4 x £250)

Plate Tournament:

Winner:  £500

Runner-up:  £250

Semi-Finals:  £250 (2 x £125)

Pro-Am Scotch Doubles: ----£1,000  Shoot-Out

The organisers has added a new £1,000 Shoo-Out Event taking place alongside this prestigious cue-sport weekend when the 16 invited players will partner 16 local Irish players in a straight knockout Scotch Doubles format with the winning team receiving the £1,000 winner takes all prize-money……..

Entry Fees:

Entry into round robin groups & £1,000 Plate Tournament -------£100

Entry into Men’s , Under-21 and Over 40’s open qualifiers ------£25

Entry into Under-16 open qualifier ------- £15

Entry into Pro-Am Scotch Doubles £1,000 Shoot-Out --£100 or qualifier from a open qualifier

Friday 27^th February 2009:

6-30pm:     Under-16  Open  Pro-Am  Qualifier

6-30pm:     Under-21  Open  Pro-Am  Qualifier

7-30pm:     Men’s  Open  Pro-Am  Qualifier

7-30pm:     Over 40’s Open Pro-Am Qualifier

 9-pm:        Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Saturday 28^th February 2009:

10-am:   Pro-Am round robin group matches ------ ( 8-groups)

  9-am:   £1,000 Pro-Am Doubles Shoot-out 

12-pm:   £1,000 Pro-Am Doubles Shoot-out 

  3-pm:   £1,000 Pro-Am Doubles Shoot-out

  6-pm:   £1,000 Pro-Am Doubles Shoot-out 

  3-pm:   Pro-Am round robin group matches ------ ( 8-groups)

  8-pm:   £1,000 Pro-Am Doubles Shoot-Out ------ (semi-finals  &  final)

  9-pm:   Last-32

  9-pm:   Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament

Sunday 1^st March 2009:

9-am:  Ireland’s Invitation 8-Ball Pro-Am ----- (last-32)

Appox 1-pm:  Ireland’s Pro-Am £1,000 Plate Tournament

                           (free entry to all players who don’t make it into ¼-finals)
